Hatem has over than 35 years of experience in the banking sector, during which he has held many executive and leadership positions in addition to the various wide-ranging knowledge in multiple fields such as banking operations, risk management, applying Egyptian and international accounting standards and financial analysis, preparing GDR financial data, performing internal audits and managing projects. He joined MiBANK in 1985 the financial sector as junior accountant and worked in operations, internal audit and project management, becoming an IT core banking project manager and operational and market risks manager. Hatem had a major role in all phases of the restructuring of MiBANK under the supervision of Lloyds TSB Bank, UK. He joined Audi Bank as general manager, operational and retail banking and risk and IT systems development project manager. He contributed to the successful purchase by Audi Bank of the Cairo Far East Bank which led to Audi Bank becoming one of the top ten banks in Egypt.
